About Us

Stucker Fork Conservancy District (SFCD) is an Indiana Conservancy District governed by Indiana Code 14-33.  The purpose of the District is to provide flood control to Scott & Jefferson Counties.

Stucker Fork Water Utility (SFWU), which serves water to 6 counties with 8,000 customers, is owned by the Conservancy District; therefore, all state/federal law, legislation and regulation apply to both businesses. Some examples include:

1.  Our water standards are set by Indiana Department of Environmental (IDEM) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

2. Our business practices and financials are audited by Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA).

3. Our business practices, rates and charges are regulated and approved by Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC). The Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) also provides oversight and recommendations on rates and charges.

The SFCD Board of Directors, Management and Staff work very hard to maintain compliance of all laws, rules and regulations within the various departments we are governed by.

We look forward to serving your family with quality water and customer service.
